Cookie Dough Dip // THM // Trim Healthy Girl

Chances are, if you use Pinterest–you’ve seen this phenomenon.  This ridiculously addicting cookie dough dip made with butter, cream cheese, sugar, chocolate chips, sugar….and more sugar…yeah.  You get the picture.  It is definitely not on plan.

But I wanted it.

And I wanted it THM style.

On went the white lab coat.  Challenge accepted.

Pulling out all my Trim Healthy Mama approved ingredients I dreamed about my REAL cream cheesy, chocolatey, goodness…I dreamed because I knew of course that the sugar-free version couldn’t POSSIBLY be as good as the real thing…

Ahem.

I now stand corrected.

{Trim Healthy Girl} Cookie Dough Dip // THM

// ‘S’ Dessert //

Ingredients:

1/2 c butter
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 tsp Caramel Extract
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/3 and 1/2 c. Xylitol (or 1/2 c. Sweet Blend, divided into two 1/4 sections)
1/2-1 c. Stevia Chocolate Chips (or to taste)

Mix it up:

Melt butter in saucepan.  Add extracts and 1/3 c. xylitol (or 1/4 c. Sweet Blend), simmer until it’s bubbly and caramel-like in texture (about 2-3 minutes).

In a mixer, cream the cream cheese with a whisk attachment.

Use a coffee grinder to grind the 1/2 c. of xylitol (or another 1/4 c. of Sweet Blend), then add to the cream cheese.

Add the butter mixture and mix well.

Pour into a bowl.  Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Chill for an hour and enjoy!

And I dare you–try the real deal next to it…I’ll bet you can’t tell the difference. 😉
